Printer alignment fix
Print the test page on plain paper and hold it behind a label sheet up to a window. If the boxes are off, move everything here (inches; + is right / down). The setting is saved for all tools on this site. How to line up labels
In the print dialog set Scale: 100% / Actual size (not “Fit to page”), Margins: None, and turn off headers and footers.
Sale signs and sale tags
- Half-page signs print two 8.5 × 5.5 in signs per letter sheet: cut across the middle. Full-page signs fill a whole 8.5 × 11 in sheet for windows and end caps.
- On label sheets: Avery 5163 (4 × 2 in), 5164 (4 × 3⅓ in) and 5168 (3½ × 5 in) make good sticky sale tags. The small 5160 size works for “SALE” stickers on shelf strips.
- 2 for $5 tags show the per-item price too (for example “$2.50 each”), and a unit price if you enter the size.
- Ink saver: choose “Black & white” to print without red or yellow, or use colored paper.
Signs keep a 0.35 in blank border because most home and office printers can’t print to the very edge of the page.
For regular shelf price tags with a unit price and barcode, use the shelf tag maker.
